Our sanding sealer is designed with a small resin particle size that enables it to penetrate deeply into the wood cell structure providing exceptional clarity and magnification of wood figure and grain patterns. Its water clear format makes it the perfect vehicle for tinting to create your own water based stain or toner base coat. EM1000 is a water based wood sanding sealer that dries quickly, sands easily, and has an ultra-low VOC formula. The wood sanding sealer can be applied by spray, brush, or roller application methods.


Our EM1000 Universal Sanding Sealer is specifically designed as a base/sealer coat under all our CLEAR WB topcoats and finishes. DO NOT USE EM1000 Universal Sanding Sealer underneath Emtech HSF5000 Primer/Surfacer/GrainFiller or EM6500 and EM6600 Pigmented Lacquers. Application of EM1000 as a base coat under these products will create a crackle/crazing effect in the finish.
